Riot Games ja LVP ovat paljasteet pitävänsä UK League of Legends Championship -finaalit syyskuun 1. päivänä Twickenham Stadiumilla. Turnaussarjan ensimmäinen tapahtuma pidettiin helmikuussa.
Twickenhamissa on järjestetty aiemminkin esports-tapahtumia, sillä tapahtumapaikalla pidettiin muun muassa CS:GO:n Faceit Majorin karsinnat viime vuonna. Mikäli syyskuun tapahtuma kiinnostaa, pilettejä voi käydä hankkimassa täältä.
Riot UK:n Olia Fadeeva kommentoi tapahtumaa odottavaisena.
"The League of Legends European regional structure offers the clearest path to going pro. The UK is the newest territory to create this path but in just a few short months we've seen a number of teams rise through the ranks and grow their fanbase and brand. NVision Esports and Demise performed incredibly during Forge of Champions and to be able to offer them a spot in the UKLC is very exciting. These teams represent all the UKLC has to offer, an aspirational league that helps new talent shine."
League of Legends voisi olla viihdyttävä ja haastava joukkuepeli, mutta se on julkaistu tyystin ennen aikojaan.
