The Boston Uprising Overwatch League team has struggled to make a presence in the league for quite a few seasons, which is what makes today's news less of a surprise. Because the team has parted ways with general manager Chris "HuK" Loranger, ending his tenure with the Uprising, which started at the team's creation almost five years ago, in 2017. As part of the decision, the Uprising has released a statement.

"Effective today the Boston Uprising have decided to part ways with President & General Manager Chris "Huk" Loranger. Chris has been the face of the Boston Uprising since inception and we are grateful for his contributions to the team. While this was a difficult decision, the Boston Uprising and Oxygen Esports hold competitive viability as our north star and believe this change is best for the long-term direction of the organizaton. We wish Chris all the best in his future endeavours."

As for who will be taking on HuK's responsibilities, the Uprising has stated that Vytis "Mineral" Lasaitis will become interim GM as the team searches for a new head honcho to build around.
